A dream will always be a dream when you do not do anything to pursue it, whereas a goal is a dream with a deadline. In the year 2014, I want to be pro-active in whatever I set my mind on. I don't want to just go along with the flow from year to year; I want to be part of something greater. As someone once said, "if you fail to plan, you plan to fail." I don't want to end up feeling like I have not accomplished much on 31 Dec 2014, when I would start hoping that 2015 will be better. No; 2014 will be a year of accomplishments :)

I was particularly inspired by Super Camp's teachings on mindmapping skills, and hope that it can help me to visualize my goals better. The trick is to use as many colours as possible, making your mindmap look vibrant and interesting, so that even as time passes, you won't bore yourself with the dreams you were once so passionate about when you started goal-setting.

New Year Resolutions should be taken seriously; don't just do it because everyone is doing it, but do it because it is meant to help you visualize what you will be doing in the new year. The real aim is for you to reconsider the paths you have taken, and decide which paths you are going to take in the future, and to see the bigger picture of your life and your long-term plannings. With this in mind, I hope that we can all make 2014 a fruitful year together! No more waiting for the next year; start NOW.

It is the year 2023. 

I am financially independent, living my life with abundance. I am also investing in real estates around the world. I will have a beautiful intellectual wife who believes in my vision and two smart kids, living happily with my parents. Having more than enough to support my family, I am able to contribute to the society with the foundation I set up for the kids and the poor. Every 6 months, I build a home for the old folks and a school for the poor kids in China. I am fulfilling the cultural mandate by being successful in the seven pillars of the society.

Neon Birthday Party

Gwendolyn's Neon 21st Birthday Party at Mint Museum of Toys was a very interesting experience for me. Seeing the whole place filled with toys brought back memories of childhood and really induced quite a nostalgic feeling, that we are already so grown up now (someone's finally 21!) It was such a fun night (: Happy Birthday, Gwen!
